General Guidelines

Boating can be dangerous at times, so please take advice from the following guidelines: First, wear a life vest at all times, whether you are riding a kayak or cruising in a yacht. Life vests are the safety belts of the boating world! Next, make sure you have proper licensing, particularly for our motor boats and yachts. If you do not have licensing, your purchase is non-refundable but can be at a later time when you do have your license. Finally, we are not responsible for any losses incurred by our service. Bringing valuables on a boat is generally not a good idea, and are prone to being dropped to the bottom of Puget Sound, never to be seen again.

How to Kayak

Many people are surprisingly bad at kayaking, but with these few tips, you can paddle better than 90% of people. First, know the orientation of how your paddle should be with respect to your boat. Make sure the curved part of the paddles are facing towards you, so that they can push water more efficiently. Additionally, hold the paddle such that when you hold the paddle in the air, both of your arms are at right angles. Finally, when paddling, use long, deep strokes rather than quick and shallow ones. This will allow you to go much further with a single paddle while using roughly the same amount of energy.
